As tropical storm Cindy approached the capitol city, I grabbed my gear and set out for a shot. I never really could find a good place to capture the incredible clouds rolling through. By the time I made it out with my camera the rain had already started falling, so a grey haze just covered the sky. After giving up and heading back home, the rain slowed to a drizzle and color took to the sky. I grabbed my gear again and walked to the capitol area with a tripod and an umbrella. The above is a 4 minute exposure as I held an umbrella above the camera to try and keep rain drops from hitting the lens. The wet cement, colorful sky and lights on the Louisiana State Capitol building came together in this image.
